Monday Jan 30th Happy 3rd Birthday My Shugs~

 2yr photo's!
Her mama has been gone for a few days and will be back on her birthday.. Which meant Gammy got to take a couple days off to spend with her. We did so much together and if we werent bonded enough before we sure are now. We crafted, cleaned, shopped, played, watched shows, told stories. So much fun... This girl chats 24/7 and just wants to be in the center of everything. She is so excited about her birthday party. Which is a week away on Super Bowl Sunday. Was that planned no not really just fell that way. Invitations are sent out and place reserved so that is just how it is..
Caught her sneaking up to make her own toast..

Is she not the cutest with her first haircut.. We made muffins to take to a dinner party Saturday night. She loves to cook with me also!
Last Saturday night her Aunt Kimmie gave her first haircut. While I was hesitant, Jordan reminded me that she was the mother and I said Oh yea! This was the picture she sent me. How could I not like it! She is all grown up now.( for my info Jan 22nd) date for first haircut.
Oh I wonder what the three of these girls did over the weekend.. Looking forward to having them back..
Blessings this Sunday evening..

A fun find and a Dyi project~

A score at Corvallis goodwill yesterday! $5.99 scale. One of those things that sends a rush through me when I walk up to it.. Silly huh? It is metal and heavy.. So wierd that somethings  are so over priced and then sometimes you see something and think I wish things were always such a good price..

Remember the post the other day from http://www.katiesrosecottageblog.com/ that I said I wanted to try and make,
I think with practice mine will come to look like hers.. this one above is Lori's. The ones on the pillow is some I made.. Lots of fun! I am exhausted as today was so nice outside I started to decorate my porch for Valentine's Day, spray painted a chair that I am going to try and redo the fabric on.. And started cleaning another locker. I have alot more to do on it. It requires taking stickers off and more cleaning but that will have to wait.. I am just to tired.. Off to rest now. Enjoy your Saturday and Sunday.. Blessings Pam

Starting the day out right!

I really dont want to eat any. I want them to cool so I can put the lid on them and they can sit pretty on my counter. Silly huh? Just a quick post. I am very excited to have my first order on a banner! I took one to work yesterday to show a friend and a customer saw. She wants one for the 90yr old lady she takes care of that is losing her memory. Her anniversary is on Valentine's Day. So she wants it to say Mr. And Mrs. ---- and the date of the marriage and she is going to hang it in her bedroom. Who wouldn't be in
with that story.. I know I am! So I am taking Thur and Friday off to be with Londyn and we are going crafting so I know the project I will be working on.. Also wanted to try these also:

Burlap rose tutorial on Katie's Rose Cottage! Thanks for becoming a follower on my blog btw!
Anyways check out the link here! http://www.katiesrosecottageblog.com/. Hope you have a great day.

Weekend full of projects~

I got back into my crafting this weekend and realized again how much joy it brings to me.. I have so many fun little tresures to play with. What is so fun is Londyn likes to craft as much as I do so it isn't that hard to get her to spend time in my craft room with me.. I finally came to terms that it is never going to be all cleaned up. It seems to be a catch all room. I am wanting to have a garage sale as soon as some dry weather comes. I did however get some stuff ready for Goodwill!

I went to the book bin the other day on the hunt for vintage valentine stuff. Found one pictured above.
I got lost in the love stories between a Bob and a Ruth(i think). Anyways they were so cool. I had so many that I grabbed but then I saw these two books and I couldn't leave without them. They are from 1878.
I walked away and then grabbed them. Oh how I love them.
This corner of my living room needed some light. So me being in control and wanting to do everything on my own dragged this piece down from upstairs.  I love this little corner now.
Got this old pepsi box the other day from Brittany's stash.. Notice the tag on it. She was taking it to her booth and I said oh no your not! Works perfect for counter clutter.
One of my favorite pieces now is this white cabinet I did on my own too!
Okay notice my stacks heading out the door. So proud of self.. Some to Jordan, some to dad's shop stove,
some to Goodwill. It always feels so good to get things done. A two hour project yesterday sorting and filing old bills, statements, etc.

My Diana has become a place to put my necklaces. I love her!
My banner I made last night crying to the chic flicks of A song to remember and the Notebook.. Hope to have good dreams tonight. Blessings to all. Pam
p.s. Heidi I have my groove back. Several posts in the last couple days!

Don't Worry~

I saved this quote to read when needed. This week is a good reminder! My heart goes out to all the families struggling right now with tragedy and flooding. Today I had a senior couple who have been collecting things to give to my daughter for her first house. They wanted time to organize it and get it to me all at once. They came in today in a panic as their home was flooding and they needed to get it to higher ground.. They live right here in Albany. They have rentals in Corvallis and had to evacuate them at 1:00am also. As I tried Wed evening to go pick up my granddaughter Londyn from daycare I had a hard time getting to her. The first road I tried was flooded.. The second was flooding. The third I drove through. I started to panic thinking how am I going to get to her. I have found myself less productive this week and reminded at the same time how blessed I am with family and friends..  We all have family and friends effected by this. Tonight as I go to bed I pray for all! Blessings Pam

B~

Be Warm~Be Welcome~ Be at home! What a good day to be home! I loved the snow off and on today..
Had hoped for more so Londyn could go play in it.. Saw this poem this morning and thought I would share with you.
I come more softly than a bird, as lovely as a flower. I sometimes last from year to year and sometimes but an hour. I stop the swiftest railroad train, or break the stoutest tree. Yet I am afraid of fire, and children play with me. What am I?
Hope you enjoy your Sunday evening. Blessings Pam

Feeling the Love!

So last night spur of the moment after cleaning house I got the itch to craft.. I have been realizing how little time I actually spend crafting and how much I miss it. It leaves such a gidy feeling inside when I accomplish something. I am finally deciding that I am capable to atleast try making something that catches my eye. Mind you I am still hoping to learn to sew, have the machine just a little scared to tackle that project. One thing I love about having my own room and having collected so much over the years as that I can go in and grab most anything and I have it. That is nice also..

No sew banners! Pre-cut three and thought they were perfect for Feb! Now I want to make more.. I usually
go extreme on something for awhile and move on.. So fun! What you think? I am in Love! Enjoy your weekend. Off to grocery shop soon.. Blessings Pam

Winter Garage Sale~

So cold but so fun! Had fun with Penny, Heidi, Brittany and her mom! A January sale was fun it reminded me how much fun they are. I am ashamed to say most of my stuff is still in the trunk of my car... But oh how I will play this weekend... Here is a couple of things however!
Love this shabby candle holder. I got two other candle sconces. One is pewter and one I am going to spray paint white. Two old baskets(love baskets), empty picture frame, a little ladder, a pretty white table cloth, old rusty mason jar with lid,

And this chair was FREE! Yes vinyl pink. I need to wash it and I am going to whitewash the wood this weekend. Maybe it will go in my room. My dad taught me well. Never turn down free! Best part is Penny got one too!

Another work in progress. Shabby mantle.(Love)! Need to find grate for logs, their sitting on old suitcases right now and need to move mantle yet. Another one of those what one twin has the other has to have! Off to bed.. Found myself asking is today Friday yet? Two more days.. Can't wait. Date to see Beauty and the Beast with Londyn this weekend. Blessings Pam
We do not remember days we remember moments!
