It's Official!

Friday March 28th our daughter Jordan got engaged to Anthony! We went to dinner and of course I knew what was going on (because moms know everything)! However with that being said you kinda wait your whole life for that moment and guess where I was? I had taken Londyn to the bathroom, when Anthony asked my husband for Jordan's hand in marriage. I came back and could tell I missed it! I just adore that ring! No date has been planned yet. You know now days things are so different. They have been together for sometime now. Have Londyn and Anthony has a son from a previous relationship. His name is Tison and he is 6. Londyn just turned 5 in January! She loves her brother so much. She looks out for him and when we go to the store or something always wants to remember her brother. I was giddy all evening and wanted to share the news right away. Have a great day! Blessings Pam

Do I inspire or tire!

I wonder sometimes if I inspire or maybe you get tired of my blog. I was thinking why I started this thing. In the beginning it was for my scrap booking, which I no longer do. Than it was to journal the growth of my family, I need to do that more. I love to look back on my photo's of my granddaughter Londyn and her growth. My children how far they have come etc. The wrinkles I have now that I didn't 5 years ago. lol. My blog is so much fun for me. I really enjoy my decorating and what I have learned from all my blogging friends. Its the small things that bring me such joy.
I have really come to enjoy instagram. I love to follow certain people and learn about their family and pets. This basket above is in my office. I am doing a little industrial theme in there. Does anyone have an idea what this red tool is? I have no idea just know that it is sharp.
I have a pretty big bathroom with two sinks. I really enjoy the space I have in there. I have an old chippy yellow cabinet that displays lots of dishes, antique medicine kit, old bowl and pitcher that was my moms.
I had to share this picture above of my sis Penny's bedroom. I love how shabby it is. Look at her overflow on the floor. The one thing with her is she gets rid of things pretty quickly. We enjoy passing back and forth.
Speaking of a big bathroom this was Londyn this morning while I was getting ready for work. She spent the night, she likes to sit in there and chat while I am getting ready. She really inspires me! Her beauty and grace and love for everyone is a true gift at such a young age. She called her mommy last night to say goodnight, her mommy said "my tummy hurts will you pray for mommy". No doubt she did. Well our spring break has had mostly rain this week. We surely need it. I need the sun though too! Have a wonderful evening. Blessings Pam

Spring inspires me!

Yesterday and today are going to be pure sunshine! It inspires me so! I know the rain is coming though! That's okay I know we need it! I cant believe all the energy I have with the sun. I just go in fifty different directions. Yesterday I dusted my chippy cabinet. It is one of my favorite pieces.. The sun shined in and it just had to be dusted.
I have again another gift of silverware. Hard to see but look at the star on this little one. I sure have a collection of old silverware! I just love each piece. Someday it sure would be fun to count them all. My customers spoil me with what I love!
I participated in Pay it Forward at the beginning of the year! I had 6 people that responded. I sure have enjoyed sending packages out. It said you could send a card, or magazine or what ever you wanted. Well I just cant help myself to send a little bit more. Its so fun to do! It helps when a couple are local and I cant just drop on their porch, text them and tell them to check their porch. Sure saves on shipping. lol. Starla loves old things like me so when I came across the old suitcase I thought it would be perfect. Put a few goodies in and dropped it off!

Yesterday I started dusting this piece. It was my moms. It made me really think and miss her so so much. I wish I could tell her how much I love everything she gave me before she passed and after. I will treasure it forever. I really love this!

I finally said no more cleaning and staying in the house on such a nice day! I enjoyed lunch with a friend, she gave me a beautiful ring, did a little shopping, took in a drive and enjoyed the scenery, bought some flowers to plant. It turned out to be a wonderful day!
Today I think I will play the queen card and rest the best I can! After all its back to work tomorrow! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. Blessings Pam

Welcome Spring!

We are getting so excited around here for Spring. Today being the first day of spring how fitting for the note Londyn left on my paper. She is 5 and I think she did a great job.
Finally moved my dad's locker in from the porch. It was in his shop for years and years. I remember being a kid and admiring it. So when he passed last year I asked if I could have it. My husband grumbled when I asked for help moving it in the entry way. I am not sure where it is going yet, but definitely a keeper. I need to declutter a little. I just have such a hard time parting with things. My new motto is when I bring something in something has to go! We will see how long that lasts.
Love all my finds pictured above. I cant wait to get my hands dirty and plant some flowers in my planters.. I have never been much of a blue person but as of late I am liking it.
This picture of Londyn cracks me up and makes me pout at the same time. St. Patty's day my sister Penny and myself took her to the mall and spoiled her. She got her nails and toes done, trip to the jewelry store, new earrings and glasses. She loves glasses, they are fake of course. The next day I took her mama and myself back to the mall to get pedicures. She had to ride along until her pampa could pick her up. She begged and begged to get her toes done again. We told her she had her turn the night before. Broke my heart, I almost gave in. All was well when her pampa came and took her to Costco where she got a blanket wrapped with a pillow in the shape of a yellow duck.. So happy today is the first day of Spring. Signs of Spring!

So thankful that I can see signs of spring. I worked in the yard yesterday and on my porch. It becomes a collect all for so many things. This dresser was given to me by my neighbor and friend Mindy. I need to fix the handle. I love it and can vision some drawers open with flowers in them.
These are things I purged and was just over! My friend Amy is picking them up today. Feels good to purge once in awhile. Start fresh and simple.

Now I said purge but than came home with this vintage table top ironing board. Couldn't pass it up. Love the fabric. Also came with that old smell.

My granddaughter came on Friday and is leaving this afternoon. She sure brings me such joy. She loves being here. I always ask why do you like to come over? Her reply because Gammy lets me do anything I want. This morning while making chocolate chip cookies she asked to make her own. She loves making goolash! Hers consisted of coffee, egg, and raisins. She even baked in the oven. Look at the smile. Melts my heart. She completes me! I always tell her "Your my saving grace"! She says no I am Londyn. I hope you have a blessed Sunday! I am enjoying posting an inspiring blog on each of my posts. Today's inspiring blog is:http://fadedcharmcottage.blogspot.com/ Blessings Pam

The Sun Shines Here!

It has been so pretty here the last couple days! I have been able to open my windows for some fresh air. Makes me think of warmer months ahead.
I found this heater grate for $3.00! I loved its rusty appeal. I have since added a magnet and photo to it.
I love having an I-phone for quick photos and for creating collages. It makes instagram so fun.

Sorry for the poor pic quality on this galvanized piece pictured above. I love it. My problem is I am running out of room. I have a hard time parting with things. When I had a spot in a local shabby store it allowed me to pull from my home when needed.
I bought this scale for my sis Penny! The nice thing is with her I know I will get it eventually. She doesn't have my problem and gets rid of things alot easier than I do.
I participated in a vintage planter swap on instagram and today my package arrived. I loved everything I received. It was fun, I have never done a swap before and would do it again in a heart beat. I cant wait to plant some hens and chicks in my rusty loaf pan. Asked where I get my inspiration? Well today is the inspiring blog: http://www.oliverandrust.com/ Hope you have a great rest of the week. Blessings Pam

A Week In Review!

Saturday we went to Eugene to a late birthday dinner. We decided spur of the moment to hit a store Penny and I have wanted to go for a very long time. Its called Glory Days. We could of spent all day there. Such a fun store with a cafe to boot. I found a few small treasures. Mostly I was trying to find things for my new cubby pictured below. So many things I would love to have..
I collect so many things. One being vintage silverware. I was given these two by a customer of mine. The little ribbon just adds a little something to them.
I came home Friday night to a late birthday gift waiting for me from my sister in law Starla. These beautiful flowers in the jug. I love them.
This is the cubby. Now originally it was going to be used for mail. However I just couldn't keep myself from adding little knick knacks to it.
I really like how it turned out. I have been asked by so many what are my favorite blogs, who do I follow? Where do I get my inspiration? So I was thinking and decided to do like so many and list one with each post if I can remember. So my inspiring blog today is: http://www.sewafineseam.com/! Hope you have a wonderful week! A Year Today!

Dad today I think of you! I miss you and think of you always. This picture comforts me and reminds me of happier days. This was taken when he came to my place of work to celebrate his birthday. When I think of him I dont think of him in a frail sick state. God is faithful and I am so thankful for that. So today know you are in my heart and soul... I sure miss our visits, your advice and love. I love you dad!!

I have always wanted to say:

I have junk in my trunk! Yes these are goodies that are still in my trunk after like three days. I am waiting for the weekend when I can be home and find a place for them.. This galvanized piece is going to hang on the wall for my mail. I love old brushes and have started a collection.
I am spending a good portion of my time on instagram now. I really enjoy it and participated in a vintage planter swap. Pictured above is what I sent my gal Heather. She has a site https://www.etsy.com/shop/UpcycleChick! It is hard picking things for someone you don't really know that well. However she was super excited about her planters. I am receiving mine in the mail soon. I cant wait.
Last night it down poured rain and my sister Penny drove me to Salem about 1/2 hour away for this 9 cubby wall shelf. I have been seeing them on instagram alot and just had to have one. Waiting for the weekend to find a spot for it as well.
I was so excited to win this scarf and key fob hosting by http://littlecottageonthepond.blogspot.com/! I love it! I wore the ruffled scarf yesterday and received so many comments. I love giveaways and sure spend alot of time entering. I pray my overloaded desk top doesn't crash soon! Hope you have a wonderful day. Blessings Pam
