Fresh Air, Flowers and Friends!

Yesterday was a tease for Spring. Dry, calm, and the sunshined a little. I was reminded how good it is for the soul.
My friend Heidi stopped by with cut fresh flowers. She brought this lampshade for me. I love it! We had a great visit and all though we may not see each other as often as I would like we can sure gab up a storm. Thanks for being such a dear friend.
I have made some great friends in the blogging, facebook, instagram world. They may be far but always manage to take time to send a greeting to cheer me up, keep me inspired, and make me feel ever so loved. My friend Susan from http://mustlovejunk.blogspot.com/ sent me this charm for my birthday. I love it. She has a wonderful blog that I have come to really enjoy.. I look forward to each and every post. Thanks for thinking of me Susan.  I have been spending time on instagram as of late. So my pictures are coming from there. Not the best quality SORRY! Hope you have a wonderful day. I am blessed by each and everyone of you. Blessings Pam

Its the small things:

Lately I have come to really appreciate the small things. I have always said give me heat, a roof over my head, and my coffee and I am the happiest girl in the world. I dont require much. Life is short, God is good and faithful and I am so blessed each day.
Flowers are also something that I have come to love. I always said don't spend your money on something that is going to die, but look at these beauties. I do have a hard time keeping flowers for very long but these are staying nice in my bedroom. Thanks to my daughter Jordan for them.
With my birthday junkin money from my son I found this old letter box for my office and this lace wrap that I added to a dress form in my bedroom. Someday I hope to have a real old one with wire cage. But for now this is what I have.
My dress form named Diana after the woman I got her from is always a catch all. Yesterday I changed her outfit and put this Shabby Apple brown Vintage Dress on her that I hope to wear someday. I won it from a giveaway a coupld years ago. For now it is the small things that bring me such joy. My blog is something that also makes me happy. I appreciate it when you stop by and visit and comment. Hope you have a great rest of the week. Blessings Pam

The Week Re-Cap!

This week has been a busy week to say the least. I was so very blessed by my birthday wishes, greetings, cards, calls, gifts. Being a twin has always brought extra special to our days. I was spoiled again. So amazing the kindness out there. Working with my twin as well as being one is like craziness. We have customers that share our day that remember and bring gifts. Amazing! My granddaughter was so excited and her and her daycare came in with brownies, flowers, bath and body, dutch bro coffee card. So sweet, my son gave me a thrifting jar with cash, and a kohls gift card, (so thoughtful)! Going antiquing today! My daughter had flowers delivered to work, dutch bro card from my brother, pedicure and goodies from my niece Kim, did I say spoiled.
My sister Penny gave me this rooster air freshener from Bath and Body. I love it! So cute.
Gift to self. While shopping for my sis I came across this linen necklace holder from Ross. At $3.99 who could pass it up.
My office is a catch all room. Tried doing a little industrial with alot of my dads belongings, but it now is just all thrown together and seems to be the room that things get dropped off in.
Old clipboard was my dads, along with a old notebook, and chalk line tool. A room in the making.
Spent sometime in the week with my great niece Pippa Jo! She received all A's and what better way to celebrate than dinner and a good girls chat. I love spending time with her.
My sister and her husband flew out to Las Vegas on Thur and our spending time in New Orleans. They are having a great time. My husband's birthday was Friday two days after mine. He jokes that since marrying twins he doesn't have birthdays anymore. His gets lost in the shuffle. This has been 28 birthdays celebrated. Its crazy how time flies. The sun shines here and I am off to enjoy it. Have a great day! Blessings Pam

Remembering!

Tomorrow is my birthday along with Penny's! It happens to be the 2nd one without my mom. It has really  begin to bother me. I don't know why. I just feel so lonely without her. I miss her phone calls and voice, kisses and hugs. She was such a kind and giving person. I am doing my best to make her proud! She was around my age now when she gave birth to us. I thought when I was a child she was so old when she had us. Now that I am the same age I think differently. However I would not want to have a child at my age either. Anyways thanks for listening to me rant. I feel better. Hope you have a wonderful day! Blessings Pam

Grateful!

These last few days I have felt so Grateful! Not just because of my wins as of late, but because of so many things. I have such wonderful family and friends that love me and continue to show me each day in their own little ways. God continues to listen to me and bless me!
This girl above continues to teach me so much. Compassion and love are two that come to mind. She makes me smile and melts my heart. Being her Gammy really is the highlight of each day!
I entered a giveaway through http://www.thefunky-monkey.com/! I love their site. They are always sponsoring giveaways. I have very seldom entered because their is always thousands that do. On this day I did and after 2290 entries I was chosen. So there you go! Asked how I win I joke and say I have no life and my kids are raised, I spend hours a day on the computer. This week it paid off! Jewelry was sponsored by http://www.pickupsticks.net/!
My next win was on the blog http://knickoftimeinteriors.blogspot.com/! It was a Alphabet Letter Sterling Silver Necklace GIVEAWAY! Sponsored by http://www.casualgal.com/apps/webstore/products! I love it and am so ever blessed and Grateful. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Blessings Pam

Finds!

I have been being really good not stopping and shopping. Wanting to catch up still from Christmas, a little catch up from missing a few days at work as I was sick, and now missing because of the snow. However yesterday I hit the local Habitat for Humanity store! I found this old crusty dirty carpenters bag! It grabbed me and I couldn't let go! At $8.00 I couldn't refuse!
This window even though it has a crack spoke to me too! I paid $5.00 for it so thinking even if I replace the glass it still will be worth it! Its red on one side and white on the other.
Asked what I do with all my junk mail? I salvage what I can (ha ha)! I thought  this was cute for the bathroom!
Sorry for the blurry shot, My mom gave me a envelope full of paper dolls some years ago. I dug them out the other day and started cutting them out. How fitting for Valentine's Day! Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day tomorrow filled with Love! Blessings Pam

United!

Well during the last few snow days in I took it upon myself to get gifts ready to send out to my friends for Valentine's Day. I hope with the extreme weather they make it in time. United is how I felt this week. It was so neat to see neighbors and strangers come together and help each other out. I snapped picture below when I looked out my door and saw several men shoveling the road to our home. I also saw strangers helping strangers when their cars were stuck in the mud, pulled over helping put chains on etc. Our neighbor is missing their cat, and we have some downed branches but otherwise we are okay.

Our granddaughter Londyn loved the snow and could of stayed out all day if we would of let her. I am so happy she was able to enjoy it for a few days. Its back to normal tomorrow for her. School that is!
We decided if we were stuck inside we were going to do it with style. Man I Love this girl. I am truly blessed with her each and everyday. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Blessings Pam

Burr!

Here in the Pacific Northwest we are having some severe winter weather with possible power outages I am told. I do not remember a time we had this much snow. My beautiful granddaughter Londyn playing in it above.

I was called off of work on Thursday due to the weather but had to go in yesterday. I was pouting a little as I don't like driving in it. It sure is pretty though. I had to come home and get the snow off my car as it was covered and with the freezing rain coming I didn't want it to weigh it down. Hearing of roofs caving in etc.

So Thursday I stayed in and crafted. So much fun and brings me such joy!
I rearranged a little and got myself ready to be in for a few days. My little reading corner!

So bring it on! I am ready! Hope your all staying warm where ever you are. Be safe! Blessings Pam

Love!

Last evening I started to really get inspired about Valentine's Day! I started looking around at what I had and got these little embellishments ready to send out to a friend.

I love my vintage hangers and thought my little headbands would be perfect to organize on a hanger and leave them out where I can quickly grab them. They are so cheery.
Made a quick paper banner last night. Kinda a little fun for spring. However I woke up to snow so guess I should make a winter one. Be safe and warm out there. Blessings Pam

Random Feel Good Things!

Back in December I won a $50.00 gift certificate to http://www.frenchbleuvintage.com/! I chose these dishes above. I love them and I think for Valentine's Day it will be fun to decorate with them. What started me out liking them was I have two coffee cups that were my moms.. Was so excited when they showed up earlier in the week.
I have been spoiled as of late and I love it. Cup above was a just because gift from my sister along with some paris type tissue paper to wrap all my goodies in that I have been mailing out as of late.
Earlier in the week I was out two days with a nasty virus. My sister called me as we work together and said a customer dropped something off to me and she would leave it on porch for me to cheer me up. This aqua bird cage was to my surprise the gift. I was thrilled to say the least.
I love my burlap message board and have been feeling it up as of late. It is a feel good thing.
This little cabinet was painted with crisp collar! I received a qt through chalk country paint of facebook through a win. I was excited last week when they pictured the before and after on their site.
My sister in law dropped this roll of paper off on my porch knowing that I have been looking for one for sometime. I put it in this little cabinet last night to support our Portland Trailblazers basket ball team.
Pictured above is just random things in my home that make me feel good and remind me to be true to me!
I have really enjoy making my banners for gifts and really enjoy when people send me pictures of where they put them. Pictured above is Brandy from The Rusted Coop! She sent me her picture. I won a burlap runner off of her site on facebook and am waiting its arrival. She has been hit with the long winter snow and ice. weather which has made it difficult to get out.. (It says Shabby Chic)!
My sister in law/friend Starla put her Vintage banner on her fireplace.
My sister Penny put her believe banner in her shabby room!
Be Mine banner went in a gift packaged for a Pay it forward 2014 thing I participated in on facebook. I am sure enjoying sending those gifts out. Whoever your team is in the Super Bowl I hope you enjoy the game today. Blessings Pam
We do not remember days we remember moments!
