Enjoying a Sunday around the house!

Off to continue to put Christmas stuff away and clean some clutter...

When we moved to this house in July my motto was less is more! What happened? I loved the vaulted ceilings and the white walls! I finally got this yellow cabinet out of the spare room.and put in my room after I painted my red dresser white. I have so many nice things that I have gotten this last year from my mom. The two items at the foot of my bed still need to be hung somewhere. But today I will declutter and put Christmas away. Hope you enjoy your Sunday! Blessings Pam

Ready for 2013!

I think I am ready for a New Year! This has been a very long year.. Lots of changes for me some good some not so good! This Christmas everyone in my household came down with the flu. I had a flu shot but still had a mild case I think... My poor granddaughter Londyn had it for 5 days. Showed very little interest in opening presents. She wanted too just didn't have it in her. My son worked so hard at two jobs the last two weeks only to spend his two days off Christmas Eve and Christmas sick... My husband still has it..

Her mommy tells me they are both better today.. I cooked Christmas dinner today after work and just delivered some to their door..
I made it to see both my parents who ironically have ended up in the same place only for a couple of days. My dad will be heading to Eugene where they can treat his Alzheimer's the best.. Even though it is only 45 mins away and the best place for him it is going to be hard to get there as often as I would like.. We have all agreed to carpool when any of us are heading that way. I am learning more and more about his condition. Some days you think he is on his way out and than the next day you walk in and he is all smiles. He has always known who I am and I am grateful for that.
Wishing my eyes would of been more open guess I take what I can get.. My mom is now where he is. She is resting comfortably. She has a fractured hip and it makes it hard for her to do to much.

This is her granddaughter named Mary after her. I snagged this off of facebook as the one I took yesterday did not turn out of the two of us(sad face)! My nephew Jacob is still in ICU. He is stable and we are continuing to send prayers of comfort and healing his way. My children lost a coworker today who was way young. I believe Amanda was 23! My daughter Jordan was to be in her wedding this spring.. It is tough to see your kids struggle with so many things.. To tell them things will be okay and to keep moving forward.. I keep reminding myself of that myself. Today as I look back on photos I am reminded to keep smiling and moving forward.
Penny, Barb, and myself. Good times early fall!

Our family also our best friend Dael will be here tonight from Israel for a few days. I am so excited to have her here..
Hope you all have a great rest of the week! Looking forward to 2013!  Blessings Pam

More Prayers Requested!

Jacob was rushed back into surgery this early morning. That is three now within 2 weeks. Hadinfection from the last surgery. He is stable but in ICU... I asked for prayer earlier in the week and have had emails asking how he is doing. So while I don't want to bring people down during the holidays I only feel right after asking for prayers to keep you updated.. My mom was in the room beside him as well at the hospital so continuing prayer for her as well. I did finish shopping only a few minutes ago, just started yesterday so what an exhausting few days. Presents wrapped and now I am going to wrap up in a blanket and watch a Christmas movie. May God Bless each and everyone of you! I am truly blessed by my good health, family, friends, and the blogging world. Blessings Pam

A Marathon Not A Sprint!

As the doctors said tonight! Asking for prayer for my 30yr old newphew Jacob! He has been in the hospital 9days with the removal of his appendix to start with and today he had two procedures with removal of some colon. He is positve, always has a smile, a shake of the hand, no complaints and his faith.. I love you Jake.. Blessings Pam

Vintage Ornaments!

My vintage tree by the bed. I thought I would share more detail in the ornaments. I found them at the local shabby store. The tree is frosted and has burlap at the bottom.. The first year I have had a little tree in my room. I added lights to my  mantle too.. It is fun. Today it is snowing and makes the season come alive.. Blessings Pam

Bedroom project!

Showing the after before the before. I love the white and how it turned out. It only took two days to complete. Have I mentioned how I hate to paint.

I was really tired of the red. The mirror was a $5.00 find and am happy I bought it.

Cute little frosted tree by my bed, was a trade.
Added the teal suitcase that Penny decided she had no room for. My collection just keeps growing.
After painting I was off to bed.. After dumping a pile of pillows off the bed.
I love when my sister decides to declutter her home. She gave me these little quilts.
My newest collection of old cameras. These were a little over $3.00 each.
The kitchen is open for buisness..
I also made this Tis The Season banner. Next it will be Happy New Year Banner. Have a great day! Blessings Pam
