Last Week in Review!

Last week started with a concern for Scruffy! He is now returning back to his normal lazy stinky self. His condition has no cure but we hope it will be at bay for awhile. Our newest addition Scooby is fitting in better than we ever thought. I am totally in love and have now become an annoying pet picture poster.

Ejoyed a little thrifting yesterday. I love little brushes and am gathering quite a collection.
Spent some time crafting and making gifts. So fun to do. I thought how cute these cups would be with a little hen and chick in them. I sent my second to last gift out right before Easter to my pay it forward participant. So fun to put together gifts for different people. Some I know well some I don't. As much as I enjoy receiving I sure enjoy giving. I don't have a working camera so my phone has become my #1 friend. That and the pic stitch for making collages and sharing on instagram. Hope you have a wonderful week. I look forward to some 80degree weather later in the week. So ready! Blessings Pam

Emotional Struggles!

Our Stinky Scuffs had an episode that started Friday night. He is estimated to be 14 or 15! We have had him since2007. He was going blind then and since has become deaf, his hips are going out, his teeth are falling out but I love him all the same. He stinks beyond belief. Friday and into Saturday he acted like he had a stroke or seizure, couldn't stand up straight, leaned to the right and went into circles, quit eating. As the weekend went on he seemed to be a little better. Being Easter weekend I just watched him and waited for Monday to take him in expecting they would put him down. They checked him out and said he has old dog Vestibular disease. There is no cure for it. However it should get better as the days go on. The next 7-14 days should tell. He is in no pain and they gave him pills to increase his appetite. He ate last night. Time will tell and at this point I am just loving each moment with him.
Meet our newest addition that came to us Saturday. His name is Scooby and he is a yorkie. He will be 8 in November. He has fit in nicely here. He has adjusted well and is lazy like Scruffy. He goes with me in the car and will be spoiled rotten. I have decided that I am not a puppy lover and the energy it takes is to much. While he will not replace Scuffy it will be nice to have him to help ease the pain when something happens to Sruffs. I believe that God has a plan and his timing is spot on. It has been a sad couple days and my sis brought me flowers. Thanks Penny for your love and support. Blessings Pam

Blackberry Junction!

This last weekend the local Blackberry held their spring show. It was in a new location and everyone wondered how it would be. I think and have heard it was a great success. Normally it goes a week long, this time it was a two day show. I took the day off just to go as I was so excited this time around. They had a vintage trailer all done up and you could walk through it. It made me really want one now. Lets just add that to the list of wants. lol
I came home with a few treasures. Two crowns one being a wire one and another little gold one, a clipboard,( I could so make them but just easier to buy one.), Rachel Ashwell twin duvet cover and sham, a celebrate card, milk glass vase, and a rose planter, and a little scale.
We have had some really nice weather although the rain is coming. I decorated my table out front. Not much effort but I know we still have rain and maybe rain so don't want to go all out.
Found this vintage baby scale a couple weeks ago. It goes with the other dozen or so I have. I love scales of all shapes and sizes. So I thinned out and now adding, that is the way it goes right? I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week. Blessings Pam

My Saving Grace!

My granddaughter Londyn, I always heard skip the children and have the grandchildren first. Well I would never do that lol, without them I would have none. However this girl is the light of my life. I have been going through some health issues, nothing to serious but enough to keep me bothered and a little down. I realized the other night as long as she is healthy happy and in no pain I can handle anything that comes my way. She had a toothache the other night. Actually I think she is cutting a back molar. Any who to see her in pain broke my heart. Mushy stuff I know but it reminded me if I could only take her pain and mine I would in a heart beat. This fab stool was in the truck at my parents to go to the scrap yard. I asked my brothers if I could have and I came home with it. I love it just the way it is. Thought down the road I would paint white and add a number. Loving yellow as of late. Have a wonderful week. Yesterday we had 70 degree weather. I love it! Blessings Pam

Spring Cleaning and Organizing Like Crazy!

The last couple weeks I have been doing some spring cleaning. Trying to rid myself of clutter and things that are just laying around. It feels so good. I have a spare room/ Londyn's room(granddaughters) that always seems to collect stuff. I tried to make it girly but still nice if someone came to sleep over. I covered her bookshelf of crayons, books etc. I kinda like it hidden. Although Londyn told me she didn't like it.
My laundry room is small but I try to make it fun, since I have to be in there so much. lol.
I collect scales and found this vintage baby scale at Goodwill one day for $4.99 I was in such a hurry I didn't take the gross sticker off the front. Next project. I researched it on pinterest and found out it is only valued at $15.00. That's okay. I love it.
I know I said I was getting rid of right? Who could pass this up for $6.00! I love this sun glass case. I collect flower frogs, and that little creamer I love it. The sun shines today and I am so very blessed for my day! Hope you have a wonderful day as well. Blessings Pam

Welcome April!

Hoping for some sunshine soon. We had a little tease a couple weeks ago. I am ready for spring! I welcome April.

I visited my brothers the other day and we wandered my parents property. Since their passing last year we call the place the homestead. They showed me changes they made to the place and things they set aside for me. These scoops made me happy. I love them. Knowing my dad used them brought me a smile for sure. Since the official engagement of my daughter last Friday, I have really wished they were here to share in the news.
I met a really neat lady last week via Craigslist. She had such good prices and I came home with all pictured above for under $20.00 I love the white blanket, and couldn't resist the pillow.
Adding a little blue in my home. The cake holder was also a find from her. I love old bottles. Most of them came from my mom!
Who am I? I am shabby, I have my faith, and I am grateful. All pictured above.  Hope you have a wonderful week. Blessings Pam
