Happy 5th Birthday My Sweet Girl!

Today your 5! It's finally here! All the days of counting down, and its here. You have grown up so so fast. Your smile melts my heart every time I see it. Your beautiful beyond words. I am so so blessed to be your Gammy and to be a part of your everyday.

Last weekend she performed in a mini dance clinic. She is a natural at it. Your mommy was a cheerleader, I wonder if your going to follow in her footsteps. I best grow some patience to sit in the stands again for all of the performances..
I love you Londyn Faith, aka Shuggie Fay, shugs, shuggie butt! Hope you have a wonderful day! Party to come on Saturday... Blessings Pam

Beautiful Weather here in the Northwest!

These past few days have been amazing here. The sun shines and reminds me of spring and summer. The patio door is open for fresh air, and last night we had a bbq. Tomorrow the rain is coming and I know we really need it but I will take this weather any day!
Well I already managed to kill my paper whites. So now I am left with a pretty bowl..

This keep calm sign is a custom made sign from a local gal. She is a friend on instagram. She actually is someway kinda sorta related on my husbands side. A cousin of sorts. She is one talented lady and I am finding that we really like the same things. I pick up my sign today and cant wait to see where I put it.

My first two packages went out this past week. I participated in a pay it forward 2014! The first five that responded would receive a package big or small in 2014! I have been so blessed with giveaway wins and just random things sent my way. I am so grateful! It is so fun to receive but I am finding it is so fun to send them out too!
I bought this primitive cabinet on a virtual site and if you know me everything is white. So I painted it Friday evening. I wanted to remove the gingham but it was so stapled in there I would of had to cut it out. I think I will leave it this way for a bit and than change it out to chicken wire or white lace!
My daughter is flying out to Texas for a couple days for work so starting tonight I will have Londyn for three nights. I better get some stuff done before she comes. My daughter works for a family based business, several family members and their friends. Tragically they lost a young friend Friday afternoon. He was hit on his bike by a train heading into work. It was a rough day for them. It reminded me again how short life is and how we should never take for granted each day god gives us. My heart hurts when my family are sad and there is nothing I can do but offer prayer. Have a wonderful day. Blessings Pam

Remembering my Mom!

Today has been a year since you went home! It doesn't seem possible. Not a minute of a day, month or year will I ever forget you! No day is any worse than any others. They are all the same I just miss you. I have no regrets and my faith remains strong. I rejoice in each day knowing you are where you are suppose to be. The picture of you above in your dads railroad hat makes me smile as I remember that day clearly. We laughed, shared and even shed a few tears. I love you mom!

Once a week blogger as of late!

Sadly these past few weeks have left me so little time for nesting, creating, and doing the things I so enjoy. That is life I suppose and I am blessed to be in it! I have had a touch of a virus these past few days and it still is hanging on a little. Today I am going to try and rest and take a movie in.
These linens were a gift from a friend of many years. A friend that is on facebook and knew my taste and how much I would love these linens. I bumped into her the other day and she said I have something for you.. I love them and will treasure. She happens to work at a dry cleaners where I picked them up ironed pressed and smelling ever so lovely.. Thanks Ronda!
I don't know if you remember the post where I said I would soon kill these paper whites. Yep it happened. A few weeks later they were dead and I was left with a pretty bowl.
Another gift from a customer at work. Seems to be a weekly thing. I love them and will treasure all my silverware.
This past year has left me buying more and more handmade items. These boot cuffs above are just that. I love them and cant wait to wear them.

I love when family and friends send me pictures of what they did with their banners I make them. It makes me feel so happy that they like them. I had a few orders for them and almost have them finished. Asked how much I said free. For me it puts to much pressure on making them for money, kinda takes the fun out of it for me.
This girl Londyn loves to help Gammy with the making of homemade laundry soap. I have been making for a few years now and she always likes to play in it once it thickens up of course. Once we start putting it in bottles she loses interest. Man I love this girl!
Londyn will be 5 Jan 30th. Where did the time go? Just signed her up for mini dance class. It is a one day thing and than the following Tuesday she has a chance to perform what she learned at a Men's Varsity Basketball game. She is super excited and now counting down the days to that and her birthday. Hope you  have a blessed Sunday. Tuesday is a year since my mom passed. I cant believe it. More on that on Tuesday. I might actually blog twice this week! Blessings Pam

Do you get tired of:

Do you get tired of my poor picture quality? I have just been using my phone. On my to do list is get my cannon in the shop! I love having my phone at my fingertips though. I am a mover constantly. Drives everyone nuts. I am constantly moving things around snapping pictures.
I found this fur neck wrap around at a local shabby store and for $6.00 couldn't refuse.
This cigar box came out of my dads shop over the summer. It was pretty dirty but with some oil it came out looking pretty nice. I love it.
A local salon was selling these wine carts that they had used as roll carts for hair products. I have started adding some black in the kitchen since we got the new dining table a few months back. Most of my house is done in white.
Another gift from a customer of mine that knows how much I love vintage silverware. The picture looks yellow. It is a very tarnished silver gerber spoon. I really like it too!
Yesterday we went to a dinner for my nephew. I knew I would see my sister Penny and sister in law Starla. They were due for new banners, the last ones were Christmas themed. Believe is a saying all my sisters and I have and buy each other things with the saying on occasion. It took a whole twenty minutes to make. I was reminded how much I like to craft.
Last night after our dinner we all met over at my sisters house. I have been wanting bangs for sometime and my sister in law brought her scissors. Picture in black and white to hide the dark circles, freckles and wrinkles. lol. I do look extremely tired here, so today I am going to rest, sit, relax. Looking forward to seeing my granddaughter this afternoon. I cant wait. Blessings Pam

A Few Finds!

Since Christmas I have been decluttering and organizing like crazy... Planning on not buying anything for the house for a couple months, mainly to catch up on Christmas Bill etc. Today on the way to pick up my granddaughter I decided to stop in the Habitat for Humanity. I ended up finding this scale for $5.00 and two flower frogs that are soaking in bleach as we speak. They were .50ea! Couldn't resist.. I have a thing for scales.
This picture doesn't do justice for these vintage silverware pieces. They really have alot of patina to them.. They are from a customer of mine at work that knows what I like.
The sun came out yesterday and it was a welcome sight. Even though it is way cold it reminded me of summer days with BBQ's and summer salads. I know we have several months ahead so shouldn't get to excited.
Saturday I was enjoying some girl time out for lunch. Had a few drinks and my husband text and says oh btw my Christmas party is tonight. Really I had like two hours to get ready. After the few drinks what I really wanted was a nap lol. Guess it was good I didn't know ahead of time. Considering I had never met his work crew I would of stressed for a couple weeks what to wear, get eyebrows waxed etc. I really wanted to kick him under the table when I realized it was a white elephant gift exchange that I didn't know about.. It was a really nice nice place. Lamb, cod and chicken main course.. Overall it ended up being fine... Could of dressed nicer but was comfortable... Hope your all having a nice start to the New Year. Blessings Pam

R Is My Letter for The New Year!

Last year my word for 2013 was Focus! Focus on family, faith, friends, what was important. I think I accomplished just that.. This year I was thinking of my word in December for 2014! The only thing that kept coming to me was R! Not just one thing but several.. Reflect, Rejoice, Repent, Relax, Rest, Rejuvenate.. So I have chosen R! My hope is that 2014 will bring just that! Happy New Year! What is your word? Blessings Pam
