Vintage Rescuer!

So I was thinking maybe if I gave myself a title it would give me a good reason to be bringing all this stuff home! I have such a love and passion for it. The problem is since I don't have a booth anymore and most of this has a sentimental value to it I cant or don't want to get rid of it. Where to put it all? Still trying to keep a clean and organized home! One that doesn't smell of musty old moth balls. I think I am doing okay. It has allowed me to sell some stuff that doesn't mean that much to me! I have been posting stuff on the virtual garage site which stressed me out a bit. Takes alot of time on my phone but that is okay. A few dollars here and there is also nice!

Would you of salvaged this scale in the shape it is in? Well I really liked it. It looks like it was in my moms house fire years ago!
These old bottles were in my moms antique room. My sister and I split them. They have been stored for many years. I had a terrible time getting the lids off of them! Not sure what I will do with them yet. Maybe a cute chalk label holding q-tips and such.

I love old linens. There is a big pile. I soaked them all night and they are washing as we speak. Then the iron will have to come out. The mirror behind is old and has some neat scrolls on it. I am thinking of spray painting white?

The treasures I found in this leather sewing bag! I think the bag itself would be cute to take to the market..
Sucker for old brushes and this old curling iron.
My dad had this old first aid kit. A must have don't you think?

Love this hat.. Looks cute in my room.
Great piece for my jewelry. I cant turn anything away with my grandmother's name on the bottom. It meant something to my mom for her to save it all these years. I will do the same!
My husband finds this a bit creepy! I am fascinated with these old pictures. Who were they? Do they have family somewhere out there?
Getting a little crowded but found a place to store my suitcase
I even found something for my granddaughter. I so remember these! I told her they were old and I had them when I was little. Did I just label myself?
This mantle happens to be my sisters. I lay in bed at night thinking of talking her out of it. Where could I put it. I just don't have room!!! I will admire it until she picks it up! So I will call myself a vintage rescuer and see if I feel better about all this stuff! Have a great day! Blessings Pam

Truly Blessed with Two Wins!

A couple weeks ago I entered a giveaway on Susan's site:http://mustlovejunk.blogspot.com/2013/05/blogiversary-giveaway.html for her one year of blogging. Which is crazy as she would appear to have been blogging for years. I love her style and always look forward to each post. I found her at the beginning and we have emailed a bit and feel a friendship connection with her. Well I won and was so happy!
The necklace is from http://www.etsy.com/shop/recycledchick?ref=ss_profile ! I am going to have it made silver plated with the letter P! The tags are cute along with the bottle. Cant wait to look through the magazine also. If you haven't visited Susan's blog go check it out. You will love it I am sure.

Dinner for 2!

I love the milk glasses and pitcher that came from my parents. I think for me inheriting all these treasures makes me feel like I have them a bit longer. It brings me joy!

Old egg basket took some work digging out of the dirt.
Galvanized chicken feeder holds a nice collection of bottles and dishes.

Locker was my sisters. She is not a hoarder like me! Good for me. If she doesnt have room she doesnt have room. If I dont have room I make it!
Old box used for storage. Maybe a paint job sometime in the future.
Again a shabby piece my sister had no space for. I put it in the bathroom!

Old railroad lanterns hanging in my dads shop for many years. One is penny's but I brought it home to clean and wait for her to come and get one! I have been out of batteries for the camera so have been a very bad blogger lately. Oh how I missed it. Hope you enjoy your day! Blessings Pam
p.s. Thanks Heidi and Bev for coming to visit last week. It was so good for the ego! I assured my family who continue to think I have to much junk that they thought I just be published in a magazine!

A Great Weekend.

My beautiful flowers from my daughter and her boyfriend..
This made me cry when I opened it. Londyn made it for me and waited a couple of weeks to give it to me. The excitement on her face when she gave it to me made my heart melt.
A trip to the coast with my mom a few years ago. Oh I miss you so much.. Yesterday was tough but no worse than any other day for me really..
My beautiful mother in law Opal. I miss her dearly too. She was the kindest most loving mother in law I could of ever expected. To see the love between my two moms was so genuine. They use to hold hands. I bet they are holding hands again in heaven.
My granddaughter on the right Londyn. Her first soccer practice Saturday. So fun to watch. Hope you all have a wonderful week... Blessings Pam

Mother's Day Weekend!

Mother's Day weekend has started off right. I have won twice in the last two days and am very thankful. I am sure you are getting tired of hearing about my family losses but for me this Mother's Day I am struggling with. I miss my mama so so much. I have to work Mother's Day and I know the tears will come as I see daughters bringing their mother's in for the special day.. Anyways these little gestures always cheer me up. I spend a lot of time on the computer probably way to much! It does pay off. I entered a giveaway on facebook for a Mother's Day necklace and I won! I am in Love!

This buffet was a piece of my moms collection.. I scoped it out while doing a sweep upstairs. Now the top is shot.. Kinda bummed about that. The wood is coming up in a few spots. Hoping someday to find someone that might be able to re-do.. But any table linen works just fine. Started to give it some oil. Will continue to shine it up in my spare time. My husband was a little worried about space and I assured him I could find room. I told him I could use it for all the what nots I have sitting around to store them in! I really don't have much in the dark wood, except an old radio that was my dear mother in laws. Most everything is white, but I think a little dark wood looks nice too! What beautiful weather we are having... I love it! Hope your week starts off good! Blessings Pam

Let The Day Shine!

Londyn loves to shop with Gammy! She wanted this apron a couple of weeks ago and I just kinda blew her off. She had a little melt down about it.. What I didn't realize is that I wear one to work everyday and she wanted one so she could be like Gammy. Can you believe they have a gift shop at the post office with several vendors. So of course every time I go there I have to look around... Yesterday she was with me and it was the day she got her apron... hard to see but it has butterflies on it. Only $5.00 so who could say no to this. We are going to cook in aprons today as she is spending the night with Gammy and Pampa. Jordan's girlfriend passed away in December at a very young age leaving behind two small children. She was due to marry this day! So her mom kept this date to have a memorial for her. Jordan will spend the day celebrating her friend Amanda Peck! Going to be very warm today. Oh I have such a list to accomplish, off to start. Blessings Pam
