Changing my porch around AGAIN! I sometimes wonder what my neighbors think? I know most people say there favorite season is fall, well this year it hits me a little different. This time last year I still had both my parents. Now they are both gone.. I feel a little sad right now. My moms birthday is in November. Thanksgiving and Christmas will approach. When it was dark and rainy I always had a place to go visit. To sit and have a cup of coffee, reflect on my day, share about my kids and grandchild. Right now I am at a loss really. I had a dream last night and my mom was in her kitchen looking out her window. I said to her I love you mom, kissed her cheek and hugged her. It was so real and when I awoke I was so happy to have had that dream. If she was here I would tell her that I am okay, I am having the surgery she always felt I needed, got braces to take care of my teeth, she would be so happy. I know she is looking down on me and is with me daily in spirit. I just miss her. Today driving to work I was at a red light, there was an old man next to me a car ahead he had his arm out the window, it reminded me of my dad. You know when people age and get bruises on their arms, silly things like that remind me of them daily.. Anyways I will try to embrace and focus on the positives in the upcoming months. Thanks for listening to me! Tomorrow I will go to open house at my granddaughter's preschool. I am giddy about that. It wasn't that long ago my children were in preschool.. Blessings. Pam
I had this trunk from my parents outside on the porch for a sitting place but with the weather changing I thought I better bring it in. I am not a big blue person but am loving adding a little.
I had hoped to put some stuff in a booth with my sister in law at the local antiques in the street, but with my upcoming surgery I am going to miss it. However she has offered to sale some of my stuff. I am sure appreciative. I am doing a purge as of late and it feels good!
I got this big crock from a friend and haven't found a place for it as of yet so I stuck it here for now!
Found some glass votives for my chandelier and now I just need to find a place to hang it..
I won this Cracker and Barrel giveaway over at http://www.savvysouthernstyle.net/ a couple weeks ago. It came a few days ago. It has so many neat things in it, along with a $25.00 gift certificate to shop. Thanks so much.
Saturday night we went to the Linn County Fair Grounds and listened to the band Foreigner! We really enjoyed ourselves. I also met my daughter and cousin along with one of her coworkers yesterday to plan a housewarming party for my daughter. Her and her boyfriend just got into their place together. It was a long time coming and I am so happy for them. We are planning a big party with lots of food. So overall it was a great weekend.. Off to start another one. Blessings Pam
Im torn with wanting to stay home this weekend and get projects done or enjoy the last few weekends of the summer. I have so much to do around here. Several ideas in my head about rearranging. Several projects to get done... A trunk to unload of three shabby stools to redo, a fall pumpkin project to start, a spare room to complete, curtains to hang, porch to redo etc. However I know soon I will be in due to the weather and will have plenty of time to get things done. My surgery was scheduled for today however the surgeon went on vacation so it has been rescheduled for Sept 6th.. Sorry pic is blurry I took with my phone and didnt realize until I posted it. I love this door and squeezed it into the house. As you can see its a tight fit but I sure love it.. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Blessings Pam

Just a quick hello to say I will post soon with some weekend photo's.. We went away for the night and I am just getting home from the coast. It was so nice to get away! I did a little junkin, and realized I have most of it already! Savored each page of this magazine... It's a must! Have a great evening. Blessings Pam
The box above was salvaged out of a burn pile at my parents homestead. It is hollow and very shabby don't you think? Again my brothers just shake their head at me!
Did some rearranging in my kitchen. Dusk is settling, but I enjoy my table for two..
Very little space, but truth be told I just have to much stuff. Have to make the most of the space I have. Things tend to be piled around. If I had storage I could put stuff away for awhile!
Had a very nice weekend. Shamed to say I didn't even leave my home all weekend. We built a deck in the back yard. More like a boardwalk deck... Waiting for the stain to dry so I can add some stuff to it.. Spent some wonderful time with my granddaughter Londyn. Since my son moved out I am in the middle of rearranging his room to a guest/ Londyn room! She is so excited! The weather reminds me of fall as of late. Hoping to still catch some sun here real soon! Off to start the work week. Blessings! Pam
Thanks Carino's for picking my name out of several in a box! Sitting one night waiting to be seated for dinner I saw a giveaway! There was several entries. I didn't give it another thought. They called several weeks later. To my surprise I won the date night promo. Dinner for 2 and a baseball game to follow.
It was a fun night and I really enjoyed the baseball game afterwords. Again sorry for the poor pics. They were from my phone. Hope you enjoy your weekend. Blessings Pam
This girl melts my heart. Gammy and Pampa have been providing her swimming lessons for the last six weeks. She was growing bored and tired. We discussed how she wanted to try something else and than...
She passed level 1! Now she wants to move forward to level 2! I adore this picture! I am truly blessed! Tonight I won a date promo package from Cariono's Italian Restaurant! Dinner for 2 and a baseball game to follow along with a fireworks display afterwords. Off to get ready! Have I mentioned how truly blessed I am! Blessings Pam
Lemonade Stand was a success! Is this not the cutest stand! I wish I could say it was mine but I borrowed it from my friend and neighbor Mindy! My granddaughter Londyn asks everyday if we can have a lemonade stand! Everyday I say not today! Two weeks ago my sister Penny and I went to a shabby chic show and Mindy was there with her stand set up. I was telling her about Londyn and she said I could borrow it. We just happen to be having a big 60th birthday bash at Penny's house, so figured this would be a perfect time!
She made $20.00 and you know what she wants to buy with her money? Seeds to plant like watermelon, beans, carrots, etc. Is that the sweetest or what. We will have to find what is in season and buy some!
Oops out of order but I had to share some of her customers buying her lemonade.. I think I was almost as giddy as she was about this! I felt like Gammy succeeded too! I also had to share Penny's cute yard and little embellishments along the way! If you remember my fountain I got a couple weeks ago, well Penny and I chose the exact same one! Did I mention we are twins! The little barrel on her deck was my moms.. Its old but I love how she used a glass on top. Great idea! Off to start another week! Blessings! Pam
