Treasures!

My newest treasure is this dress form.. I am still looking for a old one with cage but for now this will work. A friend gave me an idea to stain it. Hers looks great! She also added a Paris stencil to hers. I am afraid to try it on mine!

This old locker has been in my dads shop tucked in a corner for years and years. Its an army green
color. I hosed it out but have yet to bring it home. I think I will leave it in its natural color for now. My friend Susan over at http://mustlovejunk.blogspot.com/ gave me a great suggestion to enlarge my photo's. Why didn't I think of that. So mainly I did this post for her.... Not much to blog about at the moment. I had a rough June with a lot of stomach problems. Several tests and dr appts later I found out my gall bladder is not functioning properly. So August 23 I will have it taken out. Which in return allows me to have a week off. My mind is going crazy with small projects I can get accomplished. I am going to be having a table at our local Antiques in the Streets in Sept. So that is my goal to get things done. Blessings Pam
P.S. Time to start using my camera again. I always have my phone handy so that explains the poor quality in my photo's!

Owl Hoot Yard Ornaments!

My new fountain "Milano" three tier ! Boy do I love the sound! So peaceful!
I love to sit on my daybed and listen to it!

So my parents started a yard ornament business 24yrs ago to supplement their retirement. Back then there wasn't very many places to find this stuff. It took off and they had news stations coming from all over taking pictures and hearing the stories. I was so proud to be a part of it. I was 17 and became pregnant with my first child Noah. I use to paint the cement statues..  After the passing of them both this year the business became all of the six siblings. However the 4 daughters gifted our part to our brothers. They are doing a great job and still bringing and pouring new items.

My parents would be very proud of us all for being so united and the work we have all done.. Feeling very blessed today for small things.... I miss them so very much! Seeing the joy my brothers have brings comfort to me.. Hope you enjoy your weekend.. Blessings Pam

Attempting to Craft!

I love burlap! I don't sew but a glue gun suits me just fine! I was itching to get out in this beautiful weather so made it simple...

My attempt at a redo of this industrial stool that I got from my dad's shop.. Not the best but it suits me as well. Was going to stamp a # on the top and may at some point. The nice thing is I can change the top anytime I want to!
Another busy weekend for me but did manage to squeeze in a little fun too! My sister in law pictured above who happens to be my sisters mother in law Rena! She has been pretty amazing to me as of late. I love and admire her as she has endured a lot as of late! Penny pictured right and my husband on the bottom. Hope your enjoying your Sunday! Who Knew?

So I picked up this hook the other day at my parents place! I loved the handle.. I hung it in the bathroom! Boy did I have a lot of feedback on how dangerous it was. Who knew? Never thought about it that way! Anyways it is high up in the bathroom, it probably knowing me wont stay there long as I like to move things around. When my granddaughter comes over she always says "Gammy has been moving things again"!
My newest scale. I love the small size to it. I love the green color. Sorry for the poor pics. They are from my phone!

The cherub knobs were in my moms antique room. I don't know much about them but assume they are pretty old as things were up there for years and years.. I have like 5 more to do something with.. I love that when I walk in the door I am reminded of where they came from. Hope you all have a great weekend. Should have my three tier fountain up and going this weekend. Cant wait to show you that. Going to the fair tonight, looking forward to catching up with my sister Penny about her trip to Cancun! Hoping to relax also. Very busy week it has been. Blessings Pam

Productive Weekend!

Having been gone to the coast one weekend, camping over the 4th of July and starting to clean my rental, I vowed to stay home yesterday and catch up around here. It started with rearranging. I hadn't done that in awhile so I really got inspired.
The sewing machine came from my moms. Needs some tlc but I am in love with it!

Love the bottle I got a Friday morning garage sale. They had several and now I am bummed I didn't buy more!
The box is a pepsi crate. I removed the pink ribbon and the paper inside. For 2.00 it was a steal! Love the linen bag she just gave it to me!
The chandelier and frame along with ironing board was a gift! So with the garage sale and afternoon gifts it made my weekend!
Also given to me was this mantle shelf. I cleaned it and added hooks. Cant wait to find a place to hang it!

Ironing board is real old and looks primitive. I was telling my sister about it today and she said you didn't iron without a cover did you? Oops.. I am not an expert guess I will be looking for cover. I have used a standing steamer for years. There is something domesticated to using an iron.. Now speaking of that I just got done making two homemade buckets of laundry soap. I have been making it for almost two years now! Haven't bought store brands since. My list gets bigger as I am making for several now. It feels good to gift it out! Had great day with my sister Teresa, we started the rental and had a nice lunch! My parents would be proud of how united we stand! Blessings Pam
