Ready for 2013!

I think I am ready for a New Year! This has been a very long year.. Lots of changes for me some good some not so good! This Christmas everyone in my household came down with the flu. I had a flu shot but still had a mild case I think... My poor granddaughter Londyn had it for 5 days. Showed very little interest in opening presents. She wanted too just didn't have it in her. My son worked so hard at two jobs the last two weeks only to spend his two days off Christmas Eve and Christmas sick... My husband still has it..

Her mommy tells me they are both better today.. I cooked Christmas dinner today after work and just delivered some to their door..
I made it to see both my parents who ironically have ended up in the same place only for a couple of days. My dad will be heading to Eugene where they can treat his Alzheimer's the best.. Even though it is only 45 mins away and the best place for him it is going to be hard to get there as often as I would like.. We have all agreed to carpool when any of us are heading that way. I am learning more and more about his condition. Some days you think he is on his way out and than the next day you walk in and he is all smiles. He has always known who I am and I am grateful for that.
Wishing my eyes would of been more open guess I take what I can get.. My mom is now where he is. She is resting comfortably. She has a fractured hip and it makes it hard for her to do to much.

This is her granddaughter named Mary after her. I snagged this off of facebook as the one I took yesterday did not turn out of the two of us(sad face)! My nephew Jacob is still in ICU. He is stable and we are continuing to send prayers of comfort and healing his way. My children lost a coworker today who was way young. I believe Amanda was 23! My daughter Jordan was to be in her wedding this spring.. It is tough to see your kids struggle with so many things.. To tell them things will be okay and to keep moving forward.. I keep reminding myself of that myself. Today as I look back on photos I am reminded to keep smiling and moving forward.
Penny, Barb, and myself. Good times early fall!

Our family also our best friend Dael will be here tonight from Israel for a few days. I am so excited to have her here..
Hope you all have a great rest of the week! Looking forward to 2013!  Blessings Pam

  1. You have had a lot of things going on. MY father had Alzheimers.....ironically my mother fractured her hip during all of that as well. It is so hard sometimes. Loss at any age is hard let alone as young as 23. I sure hope your new year shines a little brighter, ((((HUGS)))))
