My Loot!

Definition of loot (n)

loot [ loot ] 1.spoils of war or riot: money or goods that have been pillaged during wartime or a riot
2.stolen goods: money or goods that have been stolen or obtained illegally
3.lot of presents or purchases: a large amount of goods that have been bought or given on one occasion

#3 Sounds good to me!
My mom had a yard sale last Saturday. It was cool because all 6 of us siblings were there to lend a hand, and had been the last several weekends getting ready for the first sale of many.. We will probably wait until next spring to have more..

 Old linens and aprons are one of my favorites.. The red apron was one I remember my mom wearing when I was little.

 Books are also a treasure I just love! As most of you know my name is Pam and my twin
is Penny! The books were .05each..

 This glass bowl was $1.00. My mom said it was my grandmothers. When I saw the prices of things I just couldnt pass them up.. There is a antique switch plate in the bowl. It was a .25!

 Old bottles were 1.00 or 2.00 The white vases were 1.00 for the pair.. I bought one for Penny!

The oil lamps were a gift from my mom... She had saved so many through the years. She gave each kid their pick of one or two. Hard to see but these have the neatest detail on the bottom. I love them! My mom and dad have been so generous with her kids and I am so very blessed. I always knew there would come a time when all this would have to be sorted.. It is bittersweet... I am just loving all my treasures and memories that come with them but would rather it was able to just stay the way it was forever.. Not sure where I am putting it all... I am trying to mark it so I remember where it came from and the history behind it.. Blessings Pam

A Trip To The Zoo!

 We decided Labor Day was a great day for the zoo.. The bears were my favorite... We watched them play for several minutes.. Zebra's was Londyn's favorite... At the end we went to the gift shop where she picked out a zebra mask, stuffed zebra, and a cup...

 The monkeys were actually pretty fun to watch too..

 We put Londyn in charge of the map and she enjoyed being the leader and giving us directions..

The train ride was so much fun at the end. It was 35mins though the zoo and forest.. I really enjoyed myself and just relaxed watching her have fun.. We took so many pics of the animals but more of her.. I hadnt been since my kids were little. We took our daughter Jordan with us and Londyn and really had a great day.... I hear at Christmas it would be really pretty to go.. Not sure I want to go in the Cold... Hope you enjoy your evening.. Time got away from me and I havent even had dinner.. Blessings Pam

I have a new Man!!

 He is average height, dark toned, nice shape and all mine!! He had a name tag on Mr Adis! Think I need to name my man.. I also think I am going to take him off his base and put him on stand.. I almost said pedestal but wouldnt want to give him a big head oh wait he has no head..

 Hard to see but my friend Laura who I just love gave me this beautiful scarf.. It is cream with burlap and a flower.. My Diana dressform is a collect all right by my closet.

 Mini dress form. Couldnt resist this little one sitting on the back of my toilet.. Maybe I will stick her with a pin and morning notes and reminders to flush..

 One day I went to the Habitat for Humanity, I had been admiring this laundry bag (above) full of old clothes pins and clothesline. It started at 20.00 and then 15.00! I asked the lady if they ever have any sales and she said on what dear, I told her I had been coming in watching for this to go on sale... She said how much do you want to give me? Then she came back with how bout a 1.00!  I was truly blessed by her..

 I also grabbed this utility cart for 2.00 while I was there. It is rusty and crusty just the way I like it..
I made a little coffee station for my keurig coffee pot.. So happy Penny found one the other day brand new with paperwork at St. Vinnies for 25.00 it was missing the silver part the coffee cup sits on and then the next day she found it for .99cents at the Goodwill. Can you believe it.

 Love this little wood cabinet from Not to Shabby! I have given my notice now, I will be a vendor through the month of Sept.. I love it and will really miss it.. Time just does not allow me to give it my all right now... I do hope to do something down the road.. Maybe a sale in the spring out of my garage.. Hopefully I will have time to do some projects also..

Love linens. Put this by my bed and it makes me smile before bed.. We had a big sale at my parents and I have lots of little treasures to share soon. Hope you have a great evening and a great week.. Blessings Pam
